Move from feeling lost to living with confidence, clarity and heart-centered connection.
If you’re feeling lost as an empath, you’re certainly not alone. We can spin around in our head with analysis paralysis, or get sent in different directions because we feel everthing that’s around us (instead of what’s inside of us).
And yet empaths have such a big heart; it’s just that sometimes we lose the connection to it for ourselves. Then, it’s time to find it again.
I’ve done it many times over the years. Getting lost in helping others or getting attracted into toxic relationships (including with narcissists), and learning the hard way that I need to get back to myself.
That’s not a selfish thing, instead it’s about survival and being in our power so we CAN serve others more effectively. But sometimes we lose sight of who we are and what that looks like.
So, it’s about getting back to center again and again, because drifting away from our heart is not uncommon. If you’re experiencing this, please don’t be hard on yourself.
You’re doing the best you can at any given time with the tools you have.
Which is why life is about learning, growing and discovering different ways to get back to ourselves. I’d love to share with you three general steps that I’ve used with clients over the years to help them get unstuck and on track again. (Each step can include a variety of mind-body-soul tools to dive in and experience positive transformation).
- Get out of your head and into your heart. This is the only way to get abundant clarity around what you truly desire, and without clarity it’s impossible to find the right direction.
- At that level, it’s important to heal, clear the blocks and be free from what’s showing up as resistance and spinning your wheels with repeating patters in life. (This is such a huge key, and the blocks can come from our childhood, relationships and elsewhere.)
- Combine that Clarity and Freedom with Confidence and Belief around living a life that’s aligned with who you really are. (And know that it looks different for everyone, so it’s important to recognize your “uniqueness”.)
Being truly you at your heart and soul is a gift to the world. So, taking care of you and taking these steps is a powerful thing.
Sometimes we can feel like we get repeatedly “knocked around” in life, only to have to heal the wounds and get back to self-discovery. But those wounds turn into scar tissue that’s actually stronger in the end.
We learn, we grow and we get back on track. It’s the cycle of life, and one that is an awesome growth experience. Because that’s what our soul is here to do: Experience, Heal, Learn and Grow.
Then move on to the next chapter. But it can seem so exhausting, which is why it’s incredibly important to take care of you.
So remember to breathe – which is the beginning of transformation. Think of a tiny act of self-care that you can do today. That love and respect is the foundation for the whole growth process, and living effectively as the precious soul that you are.
A Gentle Next Step
If this article stirred something in you and you’re ready for more clarity or support, you don’t have to navigate that alone.
I offer a Clarity & Purpose Call – a calm, intuitive space to explore what’s coming up for you and what wants to emerge next.
If that feels supportive, you can schedule here. (or send me an email and we’ll set something up.)
And if reading was all you had the capacity for today, that’s enough too.
