Animal Angels Animal Grief Get Unstuck

From Grief to Guidance

How our animals in spirit continue to support, comfort, and guide us forward

My favorite form of animal communication is with animals that are in spirit, or what I call, “animal angels.” It’s truly the most healing, and the messages are inspiring as well.

This is because the animals are very “high vibe,” and any pain they felt is gone. But unfortunately, their human friends are often struggling. They may stay stuck for months or years, wondering if they did the right thing.

Or they deeply miss their beloved animal companion, without realizing their animal is still around them. Of course, that’s understandable.

After all, they felt unconditional love from their animal friend, and the love may have felt deeper than with any human. And unfortunately, most animal lives are often much shorter than humans.

When it comes to human family and friends, we’re never faced with the awful decision of whether to euthanize them. But with animals, we can be left wondering if we should have made the decision either sooner or later.

The “animal parent” can be deeply lost in grief, stuck in one of the layers—struggling to find their way out. They may be feeling guilt, remorse, or regret.

They will think back to what happened, or go over things they believe they should have done differently. Meanwhile, there are powerful healing messages they’re missing from their animal angel.

This happens because their pain and grief are blocking it. And they’re not deeply connected enough to their intuition to receive it.

When I’ve been a go-between for a human and their animal in spirit, there’s a huge gap between how positive the animal angel is and how distraught their human is. And I get it.

Many years ago, before I learned to go deep enough into my own intuition and learn animal communication, I had lost a dog named Chico. He was a Chihuahua that I had rescued from a shelter.

Chihuahuas can become very attached to one human, and I was definitely Chico’s #1 person. Like all of our animals, he had his own unique personality.

I loved him, and he loved me—unconditionally. But around the age of 14, he developed seizures. I tried to keep him going with medication that prevented seizures, but honestly, he was too sedated to really function as effectively as he did before.

One day I went to work, and when I came home, Chico was in a seizure, and it looked like he had been that way for a while. It was heartbreaking.

Since it was after office hours, I put him in the car and drove across town to an emergency veterinary clinic. After discussing Chico’s situation with the veterinarian, I realized that it was time to let him go. I even called a friend and asked her to come for moral support.

After he passed, I was struggling. I felt like I had a knife in my chest, and there was a pain that wouldn’t go away.

Somehow I came across the phone number for an animal communicator, and I scheduled a session with her. She told me that it was his time, and there was nothing I could have done to save him. (And isn’t that something us empaths would love to be able to do?)

After talking with her during that session, there was a weight that lifted from my shoulders. I knew it was meant to be and that Chico would continue to live on.

And after the call, I realized the pain in my chest was gone. I no longer suffered, and instead, there was peace in my heart.

It was truly a helpful and healing experience. And it was the first time I really understood the concept of our animal angels, and the beauty of being able to connect with them.

Later, when I met my horse Happy Feet, I dove into animal communication. Then I discovered I loved helping others feel that animal-human connection again.

Because the messages from our animal angels start with healing, but they can go far beyond that to guidance in our lives. There are also messages of self-love, because they truly care about us.

I realized this when I connected with a beautiful white horse to help her human, who was grieving. The horse wanted her to know that it was time to take care of herself as much as she had taken care of her.

Because she loved to groom her horse and dote on her during the horse’s lifetime. The horse loved it too, because she truly understood how beautiful she was.

But it was time for her human friend to treat herself in the same way. The horse wanted her to primp and pamper herself, get more rest, and bring her life back into balance.

And that message really resonated, because her human was not taking the best care of herself. So not only did the woman feel better and enjoy the healing energy from her horse, she also learned a valuable lesson in self-care that would be life-changing.

So if you’re concerned that your animal is not happy with you, or worse, no longer exists because they’re no longer in their physical body, you can rest assured. Your beloved animal friend is still around you, and their love is as strong as ever. In fact, it’s pure, positive energy.

The key is to open your heart and let their love in. When you do, there’s so much support there.

It’s a kind of healing that years of counseling can’t provide, because the messages are coming straight from the source—the one who loves you. And that love never ends.

So tap into it, enjoy the never-ending compassion from your soul friend who never left, and know that you can learn to connect with that love yourself when you learn the process, believe in yourself, and trust the comfort that’s coming through.
