Animal Communication and the Sensitive Soul

The healing, insight, and peace of mind we receive from the animals who truly know us.

At times, there’s nothing more important to a sensitive animal lover than their fur baby family. After all, they’re there for us through thick and thin.

In fact, I had a corgi dog named Bailey, who was with me through what I call “the decade from hell”. During that time, I:

  • Moved seven times (two of those moves were 2,200 miles)
  • Got divorced twice and married twice
  • Helped out my mother and step-father as they went through dementia and passed away six months apart
  • Left a 22-year corporate career
  • Started and ended three businesses
  • Lost and rehomed several animals (mainly because of divorce)
  • And a huge amount of healing work from it all (including grief healing and narcissistic relationship recovery)

And through it all; Bailey was there for cuddles, coaxing and forcing me to play like only a corgi can. After she passed, I realized she taught me some important life lessons, including:

  1. Live in the moment
  2. Look forward to your next meal
  3. Don’t take any crap from anyone
  4. Go bounding through the snow and puddles
  5. Be who you truly are

Those are some basic, yet powerful lessons on living life. (What are your animals trying to teach you?)

And it was around the time that Bailey passed, that I dove heavily into animal communication. This was truly a rediscovery of my “lost intuition”, because even though I was a life-long sensitive animal lover, I had been groomed in corporate to get into analysis paralysis.

I worked in finance for over two decades, and had to explain all of my decisions in vast detail. And through it all, I lost the ability to “feel” into my intuition.

But through healing arts school, taking classes and diving deeper, I re-descovered the intuitive ability that was there all along. So I started using animal communication in horse healing, and then went virtual to help others connect with their animals for healing, clarity and peace of mind. (And I was touched by how much it helped them.)

Sometimes they needed insight and feedback from their animals, and sometimes they needed their own healing (especially from animal loss). I remember the time I connected with an animal communicator during my corporate years, when I was in pain from the loss of Chico (my chihuahua).

I felt like I was walking around with a “knife” in my chest, but with the messages she gave me, it was like the knife disapeared and there was healing where the pain once lived. So even though us sensitive animal lovers are natural empaths, it can be easy to block the messages our animals are lovingly trying to send us.

The pain is so great, and we have a tendency to question things. We wonder if we did the right thing with euthanasia, or if we should have fed or taken care of them differently. Because we care so much; we question everything, and our pain continues to hide the insight that’s there for us.

Because the truth is: Our animals have nothing but unconditional love for us. They know that we did our best, and if we didn’t care, we wouldn’t question ourselves.

So don’t hesitate to dive into that awesome intuition of yours, and tap into the unseen animal realm of hope and healing. And if you’re struggling with that, then don’t hesitate to tap into the help you need by getting insight from another empath.

When you release the questions, doubt and suffering, you allow in the love that’s there; waiting for you. This also helps to free you to be who you’re meant to be, and to do the work (both personal and professional) that you came here to do.

Ultimately, it’s important to ease your conscience, cultivate peace of mind, and gain the wisdom that only animal communication can provide. It’s time to receive the loving insight that’s there for you; it’s always a good thing, and it changes everything in a postiive way.

As you continue your own journey back to intuition—gently tuning back in to the animals who have always understood you—I hope this reflection brought you clarity, validation, and peace of mind. Sensitive souls don’t “develop” animal communication so much as return to it, and animals are always willing to guide us when we’re ready to listen.

If you feel called to deepen this connection, I’d love to support you. On my Animal Communication page, you’ll find both my one-on-one intuitive sessions and my course—created to help sensitive animal lovers strengthen their intuition, trust their inner knowing, and communicate with animals in a grounded, heartfelt way.
